The MyMahir Malaysia Critical Occupations List (MyCOL) is a strategic initiative designed to identify and address skills shortages within Malaysia’s evolving knowledge-based economy.



Careers in High Demand



Based on the MyCOL report, several job sectors continue to show strong demand in Malaysia.




  • In the Business and Management sector, careers such as Finance Manager, Human Resource Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager, and Managing Director remain important.

  • In the Engineering and Technical field, careers such as Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Chemical Engineer, and Industrial Engineer are highly needed.

  • The Healthcare sector continues to grow, creating demand for Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, and Environmental Health Professionals.

  • The Digital and Technology sector is one of the fastest growing areas. Careers such as Software Developer, Cybersecurity Professional, Data Analyst, IT Systems Administrator, and Computer Network Professional are increasingly valuable.
