This section introduces the career guidance framework used within the YES! Counsellor programme to support students’ career development journey. The framework focuses on guiding students through a structured process that includes self‑understanding, career exploration, pathway planning, and employability readiness.
Students are guided to understand their interests, strengths, personality, and aspirations, followed by exposure to education and career information such as academic pathways, TVET options, and labour market demand. The framework also supports students in building personal identity, developing skills and experiences, and preparing for future transitions from school to higher education or employment. By applying this framework, counsellors are able to conduct systematic, student‑centred, and future‑ready career guidance sessions.
